A dear friend who adores pottery asked me to repair this baby blanket their mom had sewn for their first child. My friend wondered if I could use a technique similar to the Japanese method of repairing pottery that highlights the mending with gold called Kintsugi, meaning gold seams. It was a fun challenge and one that I executed by heavily machine stitching the worn areas with gold thread.
