The quilts are an expression of my heart’s pull towards water, towards adventures, and my desire to feel comforted and warm in the coziness of a soft blanket. Most quilts feature places near and dear to my heart where I’ve got fond memories, while others are places I hope to explore some day. While I wouldn’t suggest these being the only map you bring on an adventure, they are pretty accurate representations of each area.
All quilts in this series are made using applique and the quilting to feature the topographical and bathymetic lines of the area. Most are entirely made by hand, a labor of love in and of itself.
