Small Map Art
These pieces are perfect for commemorating a place near and dear to you. Typically commissions start at $160 and increase depending on the complexity, size, and framing.
Large Map Quilts
These quilts are entirely sewn by hand using cotton threads and soft double gauze cotton fabrics layered together. The finished product is a quilt that’s both gorgeous enough to hang on your wall while also the perfect companion for cuddling under as you dream of adventures. I make these as “nap sized” quilts (~46″ x 72″) which is larger than a lap blanket and smaller than a twin sized.
Map quilts that are entirely sewn by hand using needle-turn applique take 25+ hours to make and at least $100 in material costs. These are a labor of love and with that, commissions will be at least $600 depending on the complexity and approach. I am currently exploring some additional techniques that may lower final costs, so if you’re interested in a map quilt, reach out and let’s talk.
Other Commissions
I will also consider other commissioned projects such as improvisational modern quilts, appliqued memory (tshirt) quilts, and more. Something I love about sewing is the process of figuring something out, so new projects tend to excite me.
