Rest & Resistance

My framework for social change centers on relationships and strives for long-term, systemic change through resilience-based organizing. Recently, I have been drawing on the wisdom of the queer and trans rights movements and Black women organizers to create a new series called Rest & Resistance to reminds us that rest and self-care are radical acts of resistance in this beautiful, devastating world. As part of this new series I intent to exhibit my work in a variety of non-traditional, participatory ways as well as host events bringing people together for sewing circles and collective rest.
